Dudes with Aphasia

Aphasia affects people of all ages. Young men with aphasia face unique challenges due to their stage in life. Our Dudes with Aphasia group allows men, ages 18 -40, to share experiences with people they can relate to. They provide encouragement and support to each other in issues related to:

  • dependence on parents,
  • dating/marriage,
  • loss of independence,
  • loss of employment,
  • sports and hobbies,
  • and more!

Our Dudes with Aphasia group meets monthly on the last Sunday from 6:00-7:00pm Eastern via Zoom (even prior to the pandemic). The sessions are facilitated by Adam Al-Mutawa, an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist. All are welcome to attend.

To register, or for more information, please contact us via phone 727-249-1953 or email info@vohaphasia.org.

All of our programs operate on a contribute-what-you-can basis. We want everyone to participate, regardless of ability to contribute financially. For more details or to sign up for a visit please call us at 727.249.1953 or email us at info@vohaphasia.org.
