We are pleased to announce that Voices of Hope for Aphasia is now offering a free, monthly support group for people living with stroke or brain injury and aphasia. The monthly meeting is being hosted by the Sunshine Center, one of several great community centers that are part of the city of St. Petersburg’s Parks and Recreation department. There are currently no aphasia support or community groups in Pinellas County, so this is an important service to offer.
The meeting will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm at the Sunshine Center, 530 5th Street North, St. Petersburg, FL, 33701. Easy access is available with adjacent parking. The Center also offers a cafe where an affordable lunch is available for after the meeting.
The monthly support group will provide resources and information, motivation and encouragement, and techniques for positive living for people living with aphasia as well as their caregivers.
